I knew that these types of personal ads were out there but I had never looked at them before. There are some dangerously vague encounters transcribed here. In the era of mask wearing anyone could respond to many of these and the original poster would have no way to know. Of course, I suppose if you do nothing but post back and forth on Craigslist you could be chatting with strangers all the time.

Some of the posts are outrageous. One man proposed marriage (or coffee) to his missed connection. But I have to admit to laughing out loud to this request for a ‘fishing buddy’:

Looking for my old fishing buddy or a new one. Someone that will let me hold their rod and maybe drill my hole.”

For the sake of privacy I won’t say what geographic area I found that one in. I think this person might be a master of innuendo. 😂

Truthfully, most of the items I read were too short, silly or incomprehensible to inspire me to write something. Quite a few sounded like good-bye letters to someone. So, instead, I thought it would be funny to write my own ‘fictional’ (never to be posted, obviously) missed connection:

So the question is, folks, would you repsond??

Happy Sunday.
