While I do enjoy the punk influences and vocal harmony of this song it pretty much brings me to tears every time I hear it. It makes me wonder whether or not other people actually listen to the lyrics of the songs they like. In my observations of my teen-aged daughter I find it hard to believe that she actually ‘listens’ to the words. While she may know all the words and sing along to alot of the crap she listens to; there’s just no way she’s actually listening. She loves this song, thinks it’s great. Maybe it’s a matter of life experiences that makes it heart-wrenching for me and a lack of understanding that makes it a pop hit for her. I give Hinder a B+ for their vocal stylings and musical talent. Overall, I like their work though I would like to have a heart to heart with the band about these lyrics. Keep up the good work guys!
