Time For SPRING!
Its been a long hard and cold winter just like in the good old days but its time for it to end. Come on out and join us at Deeply Rooted as we bid farwell to the embrace of winter and welcome the coming spring March 21-23rd. We will have the sauna up and running, forge demonstration, ritual, bonfires, Ostara beer, egg dying and hunting, the now traditional egg pecking contest, and best of all the Walk to Wake the Earth(where we walk the main part of the infinity loop trail with drums and noisemakers singing and joking and pelting each other with the last of the snow, damn good fun each year). Most of the fun stuff goes on during the day on saturday the 22nd but there will be a few things going on from friday afternoon till sunday afternoon. If you are planning on staying overnight you need to have winter camping gear or clear it with us ahead of time as space in the community center is limited. A dish to pass for the saturday night feast is requested as well in order to make sure everyone gets at least one thing they like for the feast:-). We are asking $25 a head for the entire weekend for non-members( $15 for members, yearly dues only $25) or $15/$10 a night. If you can’t swing the cash, no worries, we always take work/exchange but you need to clear it with us ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. If you have any questions please drop a line. In other news, the Board of DR has modified how we will be doing sabbats(more info to come on that note) so this will be the last time its done in this manner(i.e. late and disorginazed: -).
