I never thought it would happen to me….
I just went to Freshman Orientation – no, I’m not returning to college. I went for my daughter who will be in 9th grade in the fall.
I think I was having a panic attack in the auditorium. I don’t know if it was sheer disbelief or that my age has finally hit me.
I just can’t believe my baby is going to be in high school! The principal was talking about how fast it goes. I started wondering what I would do without my kids home to keep me company.
My son is only 10 so I guess I have a few more years before the empty nest thing but I can’t image Katey being gone to college. I know, I know, I’m projecting… that’s still 4 years away. It just all seems to be happening so fast.
Well, I guess I’ll have to get a life or something, huh?
